Cookie consent and an accessibility pass were added on 13 August 2026.We're aiming for WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the same standard used across the public sector and the most widely recognised accessibility benchmark, even though it isn't a legal requirement for a private business like ours.
real-alt.uk is a new, actively-developing site. Some third-party embedded content (e.g. directory search and listing widgets) may not be fully accessible yet.
A note on legal status: the WCAG 2.1 AA legal requirement under the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations applies to public-sector websites, not private businesses like Alt․Able. This statement is voluntary good practice, not a compliance requirement, unless we choose to commit to a specific standard.
