The Alt․Able site is a trust-mark directory for alt-culture businesses, not a marketplace, & not a review site. Tags on a listing are earned through our own vetting/audit process; they're never bought, & payment for a listing never buys a tag. Full detail on how vetting works is on our Audit Info & Process page.
The directory and site content are free to browse, and you don't need an account to look around. You must be 18 or over to register a business, submit a form, or otherwise give us personal information through the site.
Please don't use the site to submit false information, impersonate another business, or try to game our vetting or tagging process. Please don't scrape, copy, or republish the directory's listings in bulk without asking us first.
We check every listed business through our audit process; see the separate Seller Terms for the detail on registration, tiers, and pricing. A tag or listing reflects what our audit found at the time we checked.
We re-audit when something material changes, but we can't guarantee a listing is accurate at every single moment, and things can change on a seller's end that we haven't caught yet. We don't guarantee any outcome from being listed, like sales, reach, or follower growth; a listing is trust-mark recognition, not a marketing promise.
We do our best to keep the site accurate, safe, and running, but we provide it as is, without guarantees it'll be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.
We're not liable for losses arising from your use of the site, a listed business's own conduct, or content on third-party sites we link to, like their social pages or external shops; those are outside our control. Nothing here limits our liability where the law doesn't allow us to, for example for fraud, or death or injury caused by our negligence.
The Alt․Able name, logo, and site content, like our text, design, and the audit process itself, belong to us unless stated otherwise. Please don't reproduce them commercially without asking.
Businesses keep ownership of their own name, logo, and content that they submit to us. By submitting it, you're giving us permission to display it on your listing and in related Alt․Able marketing, like social posts or market materials. You can withdraw this by asking us to take your listing down.
We link out to listed businesses' own sites & socials. We're not responsible for their content, policies, or practices; check their own terms & privacy policy separately.
We may update these terms as the business develops (e.g. once we're Companies House-registered, launch paid features for shoppers, or change how listings work). We'll update the date at the top when we do.
